Henry Dunant Hospital Center has been reaccredited by Joint Commission International (JCI) for a third consecutive three-year period, reaffirming its full compliance with the requirements of the world's most widely recognized healthcare accreditation standard. The Gold Seal of Approval® awarded once again to the hospital is a symbol of quality that reflects its commitment to providing the safest and most effective care to its patients. This international recognition places Henry Dunant Hospital Center among the 660 JCI-accredited hospitals worldwide and consolidates the strong position of both the hospital and the IMITHEA Group within Greece's hospital care system.
The renewal of JCI accreditation sends a strong message to all patients, accompanying persons, visitors, physicians and other staff that Henry Dunant Hospital Center is committed to the continuous improvement of quality and safety, based on internationally recognized standards that make the patient the highest priority.
During the latest comprehensive survey, a team of experienced Joint Commission International (JCI) surveyors assessed Henry Dunant Hospital Center's compliance with JCI standards, which cover a broad range of areas, including the International Patient Safety Goals, medical and nursing assessment and patient care, anesthesia and surgical care, medication management, quality improvement, infection prevention and control, governance and leadership, facility management, staff qualifications and training, and information management.
Joint Commission International's standards and evaluation methods have been developed by leading healthcare experts with the primary objective of continuously improving quality and enhancing the safety of patients and their families by minimizing risks. The standards incorporate internationally recognized practices, medical protocols and guidelines, and expert opinion to help healthcare organizations continuously measure, evaluate and improve their performance.
