The IMITHEA Group had a strong presence at the annual BrainReGain conference, "Return, Talent, Impact – Connecting Greece with Global Hellenism," held at the Athens Concert Hall. Through its participation, the Group actively supported the "Health Returns Home" initiative, which aims to strengthen the healthcare workforce and encourage Greek healthcare professionals working abroad to return to Greece.
This year's conference marked the transition from BrainReGain to Brain Network, introducing a new model for connecting Greece with Greek professionals and scientists worldwide. With a particularly high level of participation, the conference brought together representatives from government, academia, business, the healthcare sector and the Greek diaspora, highlighting the importance of collaboration, knowledge exchange and leveraging the international experience of Greeks abroad.
The IMITHEA Group was represented by Alexandros Kasimatis, Group COO of the IMITHEA Medical Group, and Giorgos Giannitopoulos, Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at Henry Dunant Hospital Center, who highlighted the challenges and opportunities emerging in today’s healthcare sector. In his remarks, Mr. Kasimatis emphasized, "To remain internationally competitive, we must continue to invest in our infrastructure, quality, and, above all, our people." Through its participation in the initiative, the IMITHEA Group reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the connection between Greece and the global Greek scientific workforce, while helping create the conditions that will encourage more healthcare professionals to choose Greece for the next step in their careers.
