Clinical Dermatology

It is the center of diagnostic methods and therapeutic strategies for the treatment of common diseases, such as:

  • seborrheic dermatitis
  • eczema
  • rosacea
  • vitiligo
  • herpes zoster
  • lupus
  • lichen planus
  • scleroderma
  • sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhea, syphilis, etc.)

 

Dermoscopy

Monitoring and examination of nevi, prevention of melanoma and skin cancer.

 

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Various sexually transmitted diseases are diagnosed and treated according to modern treatment protocols.

 

Psoriasis

Owing to the medical advancement in the treatment of psoriasis, a distinctive skin condition that affects 2-3% of the world’s population, our department successfully manages and treats this disease, which is often associated with other conditions such as metabolic diseases, heart diseases, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, etc. Treatment involves topical treatment, systemic treatment or treatment with biological agents.

 

Invasive Dermatology

The following necessary methods are implemented: - cryotherapy - diathermy coagulation- CO2 laserfor the treatment of the following conditions:

  • warts
  • genital warts
  • hemangiomas
  • Hypertrophic actinic keratosis or seborrheic keratosis
  • keloid scars – papillomas, etc.

 

Dermatologic surgery

Any skin lesion that requires surgical resection is treated in collaboration with the plastic surgery department (if judged necessary).

 

Clamminess

The bothersome symptom of excessive sweating is effectively treated using Botulinum Toxin injections in localized sites [axillae (armpits), palms, soles]

 

Cosmetic Dermatology

Using advanced methods, such as alexandrite laser, Nd:YAG and CO2, the department manages and treats conditions, such as:

  • unwanted hair growth
  • signs of acne
  • brown spots
  • venous lakes on the face and lower extremities
  • skin regeneration, etc.
