The Henry Dunant Hospital Center has been re-accredited for the second consecutive three-year period by Joint Commission International (JCI), following reaffirmation of its absolute compliance with the requirements of the most recognized international healthcare services accreditation standard. The Gold Seal of Approval that the hospital was awarded again is a symbol of quality that reflects its commitment to providing the safest and most effective care to its patients. This international recognition ranks Henry Dunant Hospital Center among the 640 accredited hospitals in the world, solidifying its strong position in the domestic hospital care system.
The JCI accreditation is essentially a strong message to all patients and their families, visitors, doctors and other staff, that Henry Dunant Hospital Center is committed to constantly improve quality and safety, based on internationally recognized standards that view the patient as the absolute priority.
In the new cycle of the in-depth survey, a team of experienced Joint Commission International experts assessed Henry Dunant Hospital Center’s compliance with JCI standards, which include a wide range of subject areas, such as the International Patient Safety Goals, patient nursing assessment and care, anaesthesia and surgical care, medication management, quality improvement, infection prevention and control, administration and leadership, facility management, staff qualifications and training, and information management.
Referring to the international accreditation, the President and CEO of the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, Mr. Themos Charamis, said: “We are proud of the new reward, as this is the strongest and most valid accreditation of hospitals worldwide, but also because it is a tangible recognition of a team effort that keeps Henry Dunant consistently at the top. We belong to the select category of healthcare organizations that have received JCI accreditation, and it is from this position that we plan our next steps, always with a people-centered approach.”
