(”IMITHEA”), owner of the HENRY DUNANT hospital, announces that it has reached an agreement in principle for the absorption of EUROMEDICA Group, with the aim of creating one of the largest healthcare groups in Greece.
Upon the completion of the absorption, “IMITHEA” will have a fully vertically integrated Group with a presence in primary and secondary care and in rehabilitation centers, and a wide geographical coverage of the Greek territory.
The Henry Dunant Hospital will be supported by 7 General and Obstetrics Clinics in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, Kozani, a wide network of 23 Diagnostic Centers throughout Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rethymno, Larissa, Pieria, Alexandroupolis), as well as a Rehabilitation Center in Thessaloniki.
The new healthcare group will employ over 2,700 people and will have more than 1,000 secondary care beds nationwide, with the capacity to serve over 120,000 cases per year. In primary care, when fully developed, the group’s network will be able to serve more than 1,000,000 visits per year through a grid of 3,500 collaborating physicians throughout Greece.
The absorption process will begin shortly, and its completion is subject to the approval of the competent Competition Authorities and to the statutory corporate approvals.
