The Olympic champion in gymnastics, Lefteris Petrounias, underwent shoulder arthroscopy performed by the director of the 6th Department of Orthopedics of the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, Odysseas Paxinos and his team, on Friday, October 1, 2021. His post-operative condition is excellent, and he was discharged at noon on Saturday, October 2, 2021 with instructions for home recovery.
Upon his discharge from the hospital, Lefteris Petrounias said: “I had this problem before the Tokyo Olympics and it was deemed that this was the right time for surgical treatment. I would like to thank my doctor Odysseas Paxinos and his colleagues, Panagiotis Grigoropoulos and Nikolaos Kouris, for their special support and care. I must also thank the Henry Dunant HC, their management and staff, not only for my treatment, but also for the support they offer to every athlete of the Greek Olympic Team”.
