The Henry Dunant, in support of the Hellenic National Blood Transfusion Center (EKEA), organized a voluntary blood donation on Wednesday, September 8, at the hospital from 9 am to 3 pm. Our call was answered by new and old volunteer blood donors who responded to the needs of this difficult period, based on EKEA’s principal vision, which is not to let any life be in danger. The blood donation took place in an effort to overcome the national blood supplies shortage that always occurs during the summer, with serious consequences for patients in need of transfusion.
All the necessary measures to carry out the blood donation were taken.
