Henry Dunant Hospital Center: Free credit-allocating training program
A comprehensive, high-quality educational program, certified and credit-allocated by the Panhellenic Medical Association (PΜΑ), has been designed and implemented - with free participation - for one more year by the Henry Dunant Hospital Center Scientific Committee. This is one of the biggest and most comprehensive educational programs in the field of health that takes place on an annual basis in our country, offering valuable qualifications to doctors, but also to every employee in the field of health.
The program for the new academic year begins on September 23, 2020 and ends on June 23, 2021. It covers 34 modules and is credit-allocated by the Panhellenic Medical Association (PMA), with 68 credits of Continuing Medical Education (CME-CPD credits), In accordance with the EACCME-UEMS criteria and the respective authorisation of the PMA, each participant will be given two (2) Continuous Medical Education(CME-CPD) credits for attending each of the 34 seminars. Participation is free. The only condition is to fill in the electronic form for enrollment in the program.
The scientific events have been scheduled to take place on Wednesdays at the hospital center’s amphitheatre (13.30 – 15.30), facilitating the annual scheduling of the stakeholders for systematic attendance of the program. The program of 2020-2021 will be also broadcast through livestreaming, offering the ability to ask questions in chat, as well as to communicate and evaluate the program electronically. This makes it possible to attend- and get credits- without being physically present.
From the first phase of the pandemic crisis, after all, the Henry Dunant Hospital Center had ensured the possibility of continuing its educational programs online, through livestreaming, gaining new audiences from all over the country, without the limitation of on-site participation. At the same time, depending on the current rules and restrictions for the pandemic, the audience will also have the possibility to be physically present in the Amphitheater of the hospital center. Physical attendance will be strictly subject to the rules and regulations on conducting and attending scientific events, issued by the competent committee of the Ministry of Health for the best protection of participants.
“This year’s program shall include current issues of daily medical interest, always aiming to keep abreast of developments in modern medicine with the participation of doctors from the Henry Dunant, but also from the wider medical community, who are renowned in their fields of specialization. The topics are approached in an interdisciplinary manner, with the participation of different specialties per topic, giving more time and weight for a constructive discussion with exchange of views and reflections in a more interactive way of conducting the seminars”, point out Elisavet-Christina Vervesou, vice-president of the Scientific Committee of Henry Dunant, and Georgios Andrikopoulos, head of the Educational Program.
