Henry Dunant Hospital Center, in addition to the team of doctors (physicians, pulmonologists and anesthesiologists) who volunteered to assist in specialized staff the public health structures of Northern Greece, also organized a mission of nurses who have already left to assist the NHS hospitals in areas particularly hit by the Corona virus.
It is a group of six nurses, which will join the nursing staff of the General Hospitals of Katerini and Drama for as long as required. During their departure, the President and CEO of Henry Dunant Mr. Themos Charamis thanked the nursing team for their volunteering and self-denial that makes the whole hospital proud, and assured that the family of Henry Dunant will continue to respond to the State’s calls and actively support the plan of the Ministry of Health against Covid-19.
It is also pointed out that Henry Dunant, as in the first phase of the pandemic, has made available 50 hospital beds to cover the needs of the NHS, as well as 14 ICU beds for non-Covid patients, in order to release hospital and ICU beds in public hospitals for patients with Covid – 19. ‘Having received the worldwide JCI accreditation, Henry Dunant guarantees the quality of the services it offers, as well as the safety of its patients and staff. With its excellent infrastructure, but primarily with its highly trained medical and nursing staff, the hospital helps in the national effort to deal with the pandemic crisis.
