As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility actions, Henry Dunant Hospital Center once again actively supported the Nafplio Marathon providing medical coverage to the event held on Sunday, March 3, 2019. The Marathon was organized by the Nafplio Municipality, the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS), and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
Featuring the most up-to-date Mobile Health Unit and a large team of physicians of various specialties and nurses, From Friday 03/01 to Sunday 03/03, Henry Dunant Hospital Center was once again dynamically present, providing free cardio and orthopaedic screening to runners and citizens alike.
In fact, the day of the event we successfully treated a serious case of dehydration and several minor injuries.
The managing director of the hospital, Mr. Themos Charamis, reports: “The Nafplio Marathon is one of Greece’s three biggest marathon races in terms of participation, and all of us at Henry Dunant Hospital Center are proud to have once again left our own deep imprint in this year’s event.”
The Mobile Health Unit was manned by: Stratis Panagakos (cardiologist), Spyridon Koufos (Orthopedic), Efthymia Panousaki (general surgeon), Panagiotis Tsapogas (internist), Angeliki Paneri (anesthesiologist), Odyseas Paxinos (orthopedic), Vassiliki Kokra (Head of Nursing department), Vissarion Theodoropoilos (nurse), Triantafyllia Tsavdaroglou (registered nurse), Vassilis Stathas (M.H.U. Driver), Marios-Anastasios Spiliotopoulos (ambulance driver/ paramedic), Froso Chatzaki (Head of Social Service/ C.S.R.).
