A picture is worth a thousand words as to the necessity for prevention. An image, a snapshot of everyday life can support people’s lives, beyond any advice and recommendation. With this in mind, Henry Dunant Hospital Center actively supports the actions of the Hellenic Society of Medical Oncology (EOPE), welcoming at its premises the photo exhibition of Maria Gianna , which aims at raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of cancer.
From Monday June 10th, to Friday June 14th 2019, Gianna’s work “Choosing Health,” will be hosted at the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, inaugurating the exhibition’s tour to hospitals across the country. The photographer’s lens has captured the toxic urban environment, as well as the cancer-associated harmful and healthy daily habits, highlighting the idea that health is, above all, a personal choice.
In the context of the exhibition and to further enhance the message of this important initiative, Henry Dunant Hospital Center will offer to those who will come at its premises on Tuesday and Wednesday June 11 & 12 2019 a free clinical examination of their choice at the hospital’s outpatient clinics. In particular, for these two days, from 08.00 to14.00, people will be able to book, on-the-spot, an appointment for a free examination by eight doctors (pathologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, orthopedic surgeon, ophthalmologist, ENT and gastroenterologist). In case of lack of time—as appointments will strictly follow a first-come, first-served basis—patients will have the option, after coming to the hospital to confirm their appointment, to schedule a free exam at a later time.
