The latest developments in surgery for benign diseases will be addressed at the premiere of the credit-awarding Training Programme -with free registration and attendance- prepared by the scientific committee of Henry Dunant Hospital Center for the academic year 2018-19.
In particular, the director of Henry Dunant Hospital Center’s 1st Surgical Department Mr. Marios Papoudos will talk about abdominal wall surgery, while the director of the 4th Surgical Department, Mr. Nikolaos Bersis will focus on the diagnosis and modern techniques in the surgical treatment of hemorrhoids, and Ms. Maria Natoudi (Registrar at the 2nd Surgical Department) will talk about the ultimate complications of bariatric surgery.
The introductory seminar of the new educational programme which will be held on Thursday, 27 September 2017 will be coordinated by professors Messrs. Dionysios Voros (director of the 3rd surgical department, and Emmanouil Leandros (director of the 2nd surgical department).
It should be noted that the new training programme, which will be completed on June 20, 2019, will cover 35 subjects and will receive 70 Continuous Medical Education (CME-CPD ) credits from the Panhellenic Medical Association, in accordance with the EACCME-UEMS criteria, significantly upgrading the personal cv’s and scientific qualifications of participants.
This is the largest cycle of credit-awarding seminars held in our country and now acquires institutional features as it is organized for the fourth consecutive year, confirming in practice the decision of the Henry Dunant Hospital Center’s management to make the investment in the development of the hospital center’s human resources skills a priority, through integrated continuing education and training programs.
The scientific events have been scheduled to be held on Thursdays at the HDHC amphitheatre (13.30 – 15.30), facilitating the annual scheduling of the stakeholders for systematic attendance of the program. Credits are ensured by the compulsory registration to and attendance of at least 80% of the subjects covering the academic period and addressed to physicians of all specialities and levels of education (specialized and specialized doctors, postgraduate students, etc.) but also to all those involved and employed in the health sector.
