2nd Clinic of Neurosurgery

The second clinic of Neurosurgery is a contemporary and fully equipped unit that contributes to the effective management of the central nervous system diseases.

Activities

In the clinic we deal with:

  • Surgical oncology of the CNS (supratentorial tumors, tumors of the posterior fossa, tumors of the C-P angle, skull base tumors, tumors of the pituitary gland, spinal cord tumors)
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Vascular diseases of the CNS (aneurysms, AVMs, vascular malformations of the spinal cord).
  • Microvascular decompression of the cranial nerves (trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, glossopharyngeal neuralgia).
  • Global management of the surgical spinal problems, degenerative, traumatic and neoplasmatic.

Equipment

The Clinic is in co-operation with the Department of Medical Imaging and Interventional Radiology for endovascular treatment. Also, Henry Dunant Hospital Center’s Intensive Care Unit is  fully equipped and staffed with highly educated medical professionals for patients with severe neurological damage.
