With this strong mission, IMITHEA Medical Group is taking an active role in the event organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security on 7 December in New York, aimed at encouraging the repatriation of Greek scientists and other talented professionals seeking suitable conditions and opportunities to return to Greece.
The national Rebrain Greece initiative could not but be supported by one of the most dynamically growing healthcare organizations in the country, with extensive geographical coverage across Greece. In recent years, a significant number of Greek physicians and other scientists have already returned to Greece, securing career-development opportunities within the IMITHEA Group’s network of hospitals and clinics, in a context of domestic and international competition. In connection with the New York event, dozens of résumés have already been submitted to and are being reviewed by the IMITHEA Group by physicians pursuing distinguished careers in the United States, as well as nurses and administrative professionals (including finance, IT, and other support functions).
The IMITHEA Group delegation to New York—led by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr. Themos Charamis, together with senior executives and distinguished physicians—will hold one-to-one meetings with interested Greek scientists and professionals, with the expectation that many will soon join the Group’s hospital and clinic network.
“IMITHEA Medical Group combines experience, knowledge, and expertise with a clear goal: the continuous upgrading of healthcare services, innovation, and sustained contribution to society. In every national effort, we stand at the forefront, actively supporting every strategic plan and official state initiative. We proved this during the pandemic, and we continue to do so at every opportunity for collective action. Guided by these core values, we will also be present in New York for the Rebrain Greece initiative,” emphasizes the Executive Chairman of the Board of IMITHEA Group, Mr. Themos Charamis.
It is noted that the IMITHEA Group operates a strong healthcare network comprising six General Clinics—Henry Dunan Hospital in Athens, Kyanous Stavros General Clinic and General Genesis Clinic in Thessaloniki, General Clinic in Rhodes, and General Clinic in Kozani—along with a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center (Arogi, in Pylaia, Thessaloniki) and a pioneering Assisted Reproduction Unit (IVF Fertilia, in Thessaloniki). Together, these facilities form one of the fastest-growing pillars of private healthcare in Greece. The Group has a total capacity of 1,360 inpatient beds, collaborates with more than 3,300 physicians across all specialties, and serves over 600,000 patients annually.
