With more than 60 Greek physicians, healthcare professionals, and business executives currently working in the United States and seeking a secure pathway for repatriation, IMITHEA Medical Group has begun a series of discussions following its participation in the Rebrain Greece event organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in New York. In several cases, discussions and CV reviews are already well advanced, with the first cooperation agreements expected early next year.
As one of the fastest-growing healthcare providers in Greece, with extensive geographical coverage across the country, IMITHEA Medical Group seeks to align these collaborations with its new strategic plan for upgrading services throughout its entire network of hospitals and clinics. It is noteworthy that many of the professionals interested in returning to Greece are not limiting their interest to Athens, but have expressed from the outset a willingness to work at the Group’s regional clinics in Thessaloniki, Rhodes, and Kozani.
“Several of the CVs are truly impressive, combining specialization, talent, experience, and a strong professional trajectory in emerging fields of medicine. In all of the discussions currently underway, IMITHEA Medical Group is guided not only by the goal of filling vacancies or offering job security, but primarily by the aim of creating added value for Greek scientists seeking the right conditions and opportunities to return to their homeland. We also seek to offer clear pathways for professional growth within an environment of international — not merely domestic — competition,” said Themos Charamis, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMITHEA Medical Group, who led the Group’s delegation to New York.
It is also noted that IMITHEA Medical Group was among the 35 leading companies participating in the Rebrain Greece initiative in the United States. Its delegation consisted of senior executives and physicians with international experience, fully equipped to respond accurately to the questions of interested candidates.
During their visit to the IMITHEA Medical Group pavilion, a number of distinguished guests were briefed on the Group’s development plan and growth dynamics, including Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, Greek Vice President of the Government Kostis Hatzidakis, Minister of Labour and Social Security Niki Kerameus, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Haris Theocharis, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security Kostas Karagounis, Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, and Christos Megalou, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Bank of Piraeus, as well as hundreds of members of the Greek community in the United States.
IMITHEA Group operates a strong healthcare network comprising six General Clinics—Henry Dunan Hospital in Athens, Kyanous Stavros General Clinic and General Genesis Clinic in Thessaloniki, General Clinic in Rhodes, and General Clinic in Kozani—along with a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center (Arogi, in Pylaia, Thessaloniki) and a pioneering Assisted Reproduction Unit (IVF Fertilia, in Thessaloniki). Together, these facilities form one of the fastest-growing pillars of private healthcare in Greece. The Group has a total capacity of 1,360 inpatient beds, collaborates with more than 3,300 physicians across all specialties, and serves over 600,000 patients annually.
