The 27th 2-day Special Seminar on the most advanced methods of surgical hernia repair was held under the general coordination of the Director of the 1st Department of General Surgery, Mr. Marios Papoudos. The seminar was attended by a group of six qualified Greek surgeons.

Henry Dunant Hospital Center has been accredited as a Center of Excellence in the surgical treatment of hernia in Southeastern Europe by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), the most prestigious international organization.

In that context, HDHC is the first accredited Center in Southeastern Europe and in Greece.

In addition, the medical team under Marios Papoudos, Director of the 1st Department of General Surgery in Henry Dunant Hospital Center, who conduct the hernia operations, was also accredited.

In the context of this accreditation, HDHC has become an international hernia repair training center for surgeons from all over the world.

The training seminars, which begun in February 2016 and are repeated on a regular basis, include both theoretical education with seminars and scientific meetings, as well as practical training through the attendance of laparoscopic and open surgeries.

The seminars are attended by surgeons from the European countries who are interested in acquiring specialized knowledge on new hernia repair surgical techniques.
