9th Clinic of Surgery

The Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPP) Surgery Clinic, provides high quality specialized services to patients with hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions.

The main participants are Surgeons, specialized in HPP surgery, with formal and recognized post-training in HPP surgery in the USA and many years of experience.

The specialized clinic treats patients with conditions of the entire spectrum of HPP pathology, both with benign diseases (such as cholecystitis, cholelithiasis and pancreatitis), as well as malignant diseases such as pancreatic and liver cancer and metastatic liver neoplasms.

Each patients is treated as unique and receives personalized treatment that suits his/her case, starting from the appropriate diagnostic tests to the appropriate treatment and monitoring.

The HPP Surgery Clinic collaborates directly with Physicians of other specialties, such as gastroenterologists, oncologists, invasive radiologists, radiotherapists and others, and thus each patient is treated interdisciplinary by a team of doctors specialized in his/her condition.

Activities

Henry Dunant Hospital Center's Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPP) Surgery Clinic provides specialized and personalized services for the entire range of hepatic, pancreatic, biliary, gallbladder and spleen conditions.

Each patient is treated comprehensively, from the assessment of the initial symptom, the order of only the necessary diagnostic tests, the design of the appropriate treatment plan up to the postoperative follow-up.

Because a large percentage of patients with these organ conditions are oncology patients, great emphasis is placed on timely and accurate diagnosis as this can lead to more appropriate treatment, long-term survival and complete cure of the tumor. Each oncology case is presented to the Oncology Council of our Hospital, so that it is treated interdisciplinary, taking into account the opinion of distinguished colleagues from different specialties.

All patients have access to a psychological support, physical therapy and rehabilitation team, if needed.  At the same time, the Physicians of our center are trained and certified in the application of most modern methods of Minimally Invasive Surgery (advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, hybrid methods, endoscopic surgery) and apply them with complete success in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPP) Surgery.
